A cow came to visit us at Eliot today. The students in all the Kindergarten sections got to meet a cow and see the cow milked.

We read together The Milk Makers and we also watched The Milk Maker movie a couple weeks ago.
(both are at the Tulsa Public Library)

 

 

The cow came to school in a trailer.

Milk. A part of everything that's good.

All the Kindergarten students were able to walk by the cow.

The cow is being milked.

The farmer is putting the milking machine on the cow.

The farmer explained that he uses large bottles to feed the baby calves.

The farmer told the students that this cow gives 7 gallons of milk a day.

The Kindergarten watching the cow being milked.

He told the students that his cows eat about 70 pounds of food a day.
